Hikers, mountaineers, climbers, hut romantics, walkers, mountain lake swimmers, and alpine enthusiasts of all kinds can look forward to around 400 km of marked hiking trails, over 40 managed huts, grassy mountains, high-alpine tours, via ferratas and climbing routes, and endless summit victories. With or without a hiking taxi and hiking pins, as themed hikes upon request, guided or on your own, longer or shorter. Whatever you are in the mood for – here you will definitely get your money's worth.

16 different signed and marked mountain bike routes with over 140 km of distance and around 13,000 meters of elevation gain await leisure cyclists, adrenaline junkies, single-trail lovers, pump track pros, e-bike riders, and traditional cyclists alike. Our own bikes and e-bikes are ready for our guests in the bike garage, and if you are looking for something a bit more extraordinary, there are various rental options available in the village.

The Grossarler Ache and Lake Ötzlsee are among two of the most beautiful fishing waters in Austria. Clear mountain water forms calm river sections, large pools, rapids, undercut rocks, and gravel banks. Therefore, the Grossarltal valley is a paradise for sport and recreational anglers. Brown trout, grayling, and brook trout make up the fish population in the Ache, while arctic char and lake trout await in Lake Ötzlsee.

Whether on the Moargut tennis court 5 minutes away from the chalet or on the clay court at the leisure center, with your own racket or a borrowed one – tennis fans can look forward to an unrestricted match in the Valley of the Alms.

Beautiful places of power, mountain peaks, alpine panoramas, and yoga hikes bring body and mind into harmony. In addition, our fully equipped yoga and workout room in the Chalet Residenz wellness area is, of course, available day and night.

Better yet, take a dive into a crystal-clear mountain lake or submerge yourself in the refreshing mountain stream, enjoy a fun family afternoon at the outdoor pool, or opt for a rainy-day program at the Großarl indoor pool? You can enjoy water everywhere here. And of course, also in the beautiful natural swimming pond and the exclusive indoor pool at our partner hotel *****Moar-Gut.

Some of the most beautiful golf clubs in the Alps are located right in our neighborhood. For example, the magnificent 18-hole course in Goldegg, the traditional Gastein Golf Club, the fantastic Tauerngolf Golf Club in Radstadt, and the two 9-hole courses at Open Golf in St. Johann / Alpendorf. This is a pure golfing experience right in the heart of the Hohe Tauern.

The hotel's own riding arena at the Superior Family Nature Resort Moar-Gut is just a 5-minute walk from our chalets. The new indoor riding arena offers plenty of enjoyment even in winter with the child-friendly, shaggy Icelandic horses, while in summer the panoramic riding trail awaits horse lovers of all ages.

Apart from all these activities, both the Großarl Valley and the Hohe Tauern National Park naturally offer a seemingly endless program of activities, festivals, museums, and culture.
