Early summer is a particularly beautiful and relaxed time for us. The mountain huts open, the meadows bloom, and the peaks of the Hohe Tauern are often still covered in snow. It is usually perfect weather for hiking and (E-)biking.

As the last snow fields disappear, the alpine roses, Enzian, and Kuhschellen bloom in mid-June, coloring many slopes pink. The Großarltal offers ideal conditions for this: many managed huts, varied trails, beautiful summit hikes, and clear mountain lakes.

We are happy to provide tips for tours and huts. In addition to hiking, there are plenty of opportunities for bike tours, fishing, tennis, horseback riding, or yoga in nature.

In the evenings, relax – with a barbecue on the terrace or in the sauna overlooking the mountains. A special highlight is the summer solstice: During „Mountains in Flames“, hundreds of bonfires light up the Hohe Tauern Mountains in good weather.
